Wheelies With Wings

Flying Scholarships for the Disabled

Wheelies with Wings is a charity and a non profit organisation. See below

Its purpose is to offer to physically disabled people the opportunity to gain a flying experience. This allows physically disabled people to gain a sense of freedom and achievement - a stepping stone to use to further challenges.

  • Wheelies with Wings aim to promote the rehabilitation of selected physically disabled individuals, by creating a new horizon of achievement in life.

  • Wheelies With Wings aim to award Suzi Duncan Scholarships for flying training courses based on a competitive selection process.

  • Wheelies With Wings aim to award Sir Michael Bishop Solo Upgrade Scholarships for flying training courses to as many disabled pilots as possible.

David Clegg was the past chairman of WwW . David sadly passed away suddenly in June 2010

CLEGG, David John.
05.05.1935 11.07.2010.

Beloved husband of Dorothy. Adored father of Mark, Simon,
Victoria, Kathleen, Samantha and Heidi and father-in-law to
Jackie, Julie-Anne, Miles, Shane and Christopher. Loving grand-
father to ten grandchildren.

David Clegg was a Qantas Boeing 747 Training Captain (retired) He worked tirelessly for Wheelies for many years. He is fondly remembered by many for this and for his endless supply of jokes. Here is is seen in his van which he used to promote Wheelies. He and his wife Dodo would sell "Whingeing Pills" in their gift shop to raise money for WwW. These were smarties put in a pseudo chemist bottle complete with instructions! He would always be looking at ways to fundraise for WwW. He would do anything to make it easier for WwW pilots to get to and from Temora.
